Sights of Summer

D finally finished the new fence in front of our house. It took a long time, but it was worth it. Somehow the sight of fresh cedar reminds of me of summer.
Another sight of summer was this Greek salad I made for dinner. The colours are so inviting!






Shelby went to her favorite park (Angus) for a run tonight. Here she is on the boardwalk with a couple of friends.






Out on the river was this tugboat pulling a huge barge and the sun was hitting this spider web just right. All in all, it was a beautiful summer evening.

June 27, 2009 - Sumas Mountain, Abbotsford

Today we went to Jeff & Heidi's place up on Sumas Mountain. We were definitely living the 100 mile diet today. For dinner we had a bbq with beets, potatoes & lettuce all fresh from the garden, along with salmon. Yummmm.

Here we are in front of Heidi's amazing garden (one of them).


After dinner, we took a hike through the forest to see a waterfall. Here we are on the trail.
Here is a forest friend we found on the way back.


When we got back home, there were a couple more woodland friends visiting for dinner.
